Identity Gravity is examining the forces shaping who people believe they are, what makes a future self feel possible and where meaningful choice still exists.
There are currently two distinct ways to contribute to the research. Each has its own purpose, participation experience and consent process.

Take the Identity Gravity survey.
The survey will test how experiences and patterns emerging from the qualitative research vary across people, identities, roles and circumstances.
Your responses will help distinguish what appears broadly shared from what is shaped by particular relationships, life stages, work experiences, material realities and systems.

Survey participation is voluntary and governed by the information and consent presented at the beginning of the survey. Completing the survey does not subscribe you to a publication, enroll you in a community or grant permission to identify you or publish your individual responses.
Qualitative research
Share the experience behind the pattern.
Identity Gravity interviews are open-ended, 30-minute conversations about identity, change, work, technology, relationships and the forces shaping who people feel able to become.
The conversation begins with a deliberately broad question:
Why did you want to be interviewed? What would you like me to hear?
You do not need to arrive with a polished story, a professional theory or a particular view of AI. The research is interested in what you have experienced, what no longer fits and what existing explanations may be failing to account for.
Scheduling an interview indicates interest in participating. It does not grant permission to record, identify, quote or publish your story. Recording and research-use consent will be addressed separately before the interview, and any permission to identify you or publish your words must be explicitly granted.

Two different ways to contribute.
Survey participation and interview participation serve different research purposes.
Completing the survey does not volunteer someone for an interview. Scheduling an interview does not enroll someone in the survey. Neither action subscribes someone to Signal by Allyn or Identity Gravity, joins them to a research community or grants permission to publish their individual story.
Each relationship requires its own invitation and consent.
Future ways to engage
The research may also become a place to do the work.
Signal by Allyn is exploring future experiences for people who want to engage more deeply with the questions, language and practices emerging from Identity Gravity.
These experiences are not participation in the research. Joining an interest list does not enroll someone in a study, reserve a place or grant permission to use their story.

Signal by Allyn is exploring a small online cohort for people who want to engage more deeply with the ideas, questions and practices emerging from the Identity Gravity research.
Join the interest list to hear when the cohort takes shape and participation details become available.
Joining the interest list does not enroll you in the research, reserve a place in a future cohort or subscribe you to other Signal by Allyn communications. You will receive only updates related to the online cohort unless you separately choose otherwise.
In person
Would you travel to spend three days inside the Identity Gravity questions?
Signal by Allyn is exploring a small in-person retreat for people who want the time, distance, conversation and structured inquiry to understand what is shaping who they believe they are and who they may now have permission to become.
This would not be a generic reinvention retreat or a weekend built around pretending that real constraints disappear. It would create space to examine the roles, relationships, histories, expectations and evidence organizing your current identity, and leave with a stronger basis for deciding what comes next.
We are currently exploring possible dates, locations, formats and price points.
Joining the retreat interest list does not reserve a place, create a financial commitment, enroll you in the Identity Gravity research or subscribe you to other Signal by Allyn communications. You will receive only information related to the development and launch of the retreat unless you separately choose otherwise.
